Flying M Beef Featured During "Celebrate Ag" Game Day at Texas Tech

Our team had the honor of serving more than 4,500 hungry Texas Tech football supporters during the annual "Celebrate Ag" Day in the Texas Tech Club!

We could not have asked for a better way to showcase our product alongside fellow local producers during an action-packed football game. As proud Texas Tech alumni, it was a full-circle moment for us.

We were set up on the West Side with our home-grown and slow-smoked Akaushi Brisket, our 100% Beef Smoked Sausage and savory Akaushi sliders.

Of course, we couldn't have done it without our incredible team! Here's a little bit about them, and their roles with Flying M Beef:

James Morgan - loves to stay up all night to smoke all of y’all’s briskets for us, but will still be the most energetic one of us all, there! Current hobbies include butchering of any species, sausage making, and collaborating on compost recipes.
Bailey Ballew-Morgan - our resident “keeper of all things that are straight”… she runs the scheduling and books for a few companies in multiple different industries, not a bad girl to know!
Captain - (son of James and Bailey) wants to be a Chef, favorite food is crepes
Rustin Knight -  one of our favorite producers! He and his wife, Kristin, live in Brownfield and farm around Plains, right next to his Mom and Dad. Rustin’s current crops include wheat, beans, barley, millet, silage, and Akaushi. Hobbies include custom grazing and corralling of yearlings while simultaneously specializing in the constant maintenance and repair of T&L pivots.
Kristin Knight - the best marketing/branding/schedule-izer a friend could ask for! Her dogs are her children, she loves traveling and attending events, and can currently be heard telling the story of how our beautiful custom crafted butcher block earned himself the name “Thor” on his inaugural outing.
Kenzie - (daughter of Whit and LaShae) current hobbies include 4-H Food Challenge and Livestock Judging, all things basketball, and spends most of her afternoons jumping on the trampoline. Basically, she’s willing to chat about anything a normal 11 year old would.
LaShae Braden - can be found spending most of my days chatting about all things cattle while chauffeuring for after school activities, self-proclaimed local food enthusiast.
Whit Braden - runs our diversified farming operation and loves to chat about our experiences with conventional farming and our current transition to regenerative land management. And tractors. Whit likes all things that might (could potentially) involve a tractor.

THANK YOU to the Texas Tech Club and a big ‘ole “Raider Power” for supporting over 100 families in your area by offering Flying M Beef to their members. We couldn’t think of a better way to Celebrate Ag.
